Post Temporary files fill up disk [FIXED IN NOV/DEC RELEASE]
A problem has been identified where many temporary files fill in the /usr/share/addressBookServerEnterpriseEdition/apache-tomcat-6.0.18/temp folder fill up the disk. These files are created by the H2 database when large content (images, notes) are accessed. To delete these files you need to stop your server, which should remove them automatically. Degraded performance and heavy CPU utilisation may be linked to this issue as well. This issue has been referred to H2 forum, however we are still awaiting a solution.

If this is a affects you consider changing the database engine from H2 to either MySQL or PostgreSQL (both are freely available).

H2 support were able to reproduce the issue and are working on a fix for the problem. As soon as the fix has been made available and tested we will issue a new release of Address Book Server. Tentatively this will be around the middle of December.

Version 1.2.125 (2009-12-06) of H2 addresses this issue according to the changelog. http://www.h2database.com/html/changelog.html.

This release will be incorporated into the next release due later today. If you are affected by this issue please upgrade both clients and server to this release. Please note that for the next couple of days this release is still considered BETA, while other testing is done.

Regards
Alex
